Children’s records open on a nursery tablet, or on a device a director has approved. This is where a device gets approved.
A director gives you a six-character code. It lasts 30 minutes, works once, and only for you — it is no use to anybody else, so it does not matter if it is overheard.
What approving does. This browser, on this device, opens the Hub in full — care plans, medication, the records that name a child. It does not change what you can do at the nursery and it is not a second password: every action still carries your staff code.
Tell a director and they revoke it — it stops working on the next request, wherever it is. You can also remove it from this browser yourself, right now.
Removing it here does not revoke it at the Hub. If the device has been lost, say so to a director as well — that is the half that stops somebody else using it.
No child’s information is stored on this page, or by it. It stores the permission, not the records.
